It’s not albino-a white baby born of black parents. The Nigerian couple who live in Woolwich, South London, has amazed genetics experts who don’t know how such a thing came about. Both parents-dad Ben (44) and mum Angela (35) are now British nationals. The child’s name is Nmachi Ihegboro and she has shocked even her own parents.

Said the mother of the child born in 2010; She’s beautiful-a miracle baby,” adding; “Ben told yesterday how he was so shocked when Nmachi was born, he even joked: “Is she MINE?”
The father, a customer service adviser, had this to say; “We both just sat there after the birth staring at her.”
Terming the birth extraordinary, British leading Genetics expert and expert at Oxford University, Professor Sykes, tried to explain the phenomenon;
“In mixed race humans, the lighter variant of skin tone may come out in a child – and this can sometimes be startlingly different to the skin of the parents. This might be the case where there is a lot of genetic mixing, as in Afro-Caribbean populations. But in Nigeria there is little mixing.”
He added; “The hair is extremely unusual. Even many blonde children don’t have blonde hair like this at birth. The rules of genetics are complex and we still don’t understand what happens in many cases.”
